Once a recording has been made, the Compact Flash Disk may be played directly from Mosquito via output or removed and payed on a PC or Laptop using a Special Dedicated Software Player application or for compatibilitywtih many media players, recordings are played directly (no download needed) from the removable Compact Flash Card in AVI format. Using 8 GB Compact Flash Card gives you the possibility to record from 120 minutes up to 48 hours.

The miniature DVR unit is housed in a rugged enclosure, ideal for covert installations. The system is DC powered and has 1 audio input at microphone or line level. Mosquito, recordin in harsh environments, such as continual shock and vibration over extended temperatures, is now possible.
The mosquito micro DVR includes an internal onscree display so date and time may be burnt onto the recorded video. The data on the Compact Fash Disk may also be encrypted so that users with a correct password protection are able to view the pictures. Many functions are adjustable via OSD menu.

Recorder are available with either DC operation or an internal re-chargeable battery.
